Dubai’s aqua stage at Al Habtoor City is a unique experience that you have to see.
Franco Dragone, theatre genius, is the mastermind behind La Perle DXB, a show that features a mysterious storyline, talented performers, and slick aqua theatre. It’s the city’s first permanent production.
The live aqua show has been the most popular ticket in town since its opening in August 2017. It takes place in Al Habtoor City’s hi-tech theatre. It features world-class acrobats who dive from 25m high and then ‘fly’ around the auditorium using high-powered winches at speeds up to 15 km/h. Franco Dragone, the legendary artistic director, would expect nothing less. Franco Dragone, the force behind sold-out shows around the globe, has done everything to ensure that La Perle DXB is a top-notch entertainment venue in the region.
Water is the star of the show – all 2.7 million litres. In a matter of seconds, the stage changes from wet to dry again. The show’s creator said that it is an emotional and visual experience that “will ignite the hearts and souls of everyone in attendance and will leave people on the edge of their seats”.
He explains that he first worked with water in Las Vegas when directing the O show. “Initially I was afraid to work with water, but the water helped me calm down. Water is a force that must be followed. Water flows. You have to be the water and understand it.
Extraordinary
The grand production is inspired by Dubai, which Dragone calls the “laboratory for the future”. It combines the best in artistic performance, creative imagery, and brilliant technology.
It took years to bring the vision to reality. Franco says, “When I start to work on the show I look and listen to the region and try to emerge myself into the eyes and the people.” This is an adventurous adventure. This show is complex and unlike anything seen in Dubai.
La Perle DXB is a show which combines the spirit and beauty of Dubai with an 860m2 ‘aqua-stage. This theatre was custom built to reflect the show’s concept. La Perle DXB offers it all: cascading waterfalls and fast-paced acrobatics. It also boasts a 25m high diving platform and amazing characters. Dragone hopes that the production will leave visitors feeling enthralled and make them forget about the outside world for a few hours. He said, “We are dreamers but we also want an impact. We hope that there is a little peace, a little taste of eternity.”
Only the ticket
This 1,300-seat venue has been designed to make a lasting impression. The venue has only 14 rows and is wrapped around the aqua-stage 270 degrees. This creates a intimate atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed as each seat has its own view. For a better view, we recommend Row N in the Silver category and Row A in the Gold.
A VIP ticket is a great way to mark a special occasion. After being welcomed into a private lounge, you will be taken to the theatre lounge to enjoy pre-show snacks. Dubai nightlife offers the perfect opportunity to look fabulous so dress up!
