The evolution of Islamic art has reflected the extraordinary style of dialogue that Islamic culture had with other cultures over the centuries. This demonstrates the finesse and diversity of Islamic art’s various genres.
This art’s creativity and richness are best expressed in Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque’s architecture and its artistic themes. The Mosque will celebrate the International Day of Islamic Art with the second season of its ‘Artistic Characteristics Exhibition’. This exhibition tells the story of the long-standing heritage of cultural connectivity through history in six pavilions: ‘Across the Pages of History’ and ‘Floral Ornamentation’, Calligraphy Motifs’, & ‘Geometric Patterns’.
