Ripe Market in Dubai

The Ripe Market is Dubai’s oldest open-air market. It takes place all year and features stalls selling artisan crafts, trendy labels, food trucks and fresh organic produce. Every weekend in winter, the Police Academy Park is open for seasonal fruits and vegetables, al-fresco dining options, yoga classes and live shows. Ripe by The Bay, an evening market located by Dubai Festival City Mall’s waterfront, will be open this season. It moves indoors to Times Square Centre on Saturdays during the warmer summer months.

The Beach Dubai Markets

Do you want to go swimming, shop or enjoy a delicious meal? All this and more can be found at The Beach’s beachside Dubai markets. The market is open every week from 9am until 11pm during winter months and runs alongside Jumeirah Beach Residences. It is divided into two sections. One section has stalls selling jewellery, fashion, and homewares. The other section sells meals and snacks that can be taken to go and enjoyed by the sand. This is the ideal place to find unique fashion accessories and souvenirs that will last a lifetime.

ARTE, The Maker’s Dubai Markets

ARTE is one of Dubai’s oldest markets. It’s home to the ‘Artisans of the Emirate. Every Friday, painters and crafters, bakers, and artists gather in different locations to display their handmade items. Miriam Walsh, the founder of the market, started it over a decade ago as a way for the city’s creatives to showcase their work. It has been a beloved institution with many themed markets popping up in different malls like Mercato Mall or Times Square Centre.

Dubai Flea Market

The Dubai Flea Market is a great place to find second-hand goods. This market is open several times a month at various locations, including Al Nahda Pond Park and Zabeel Park. It’s a great place for experienced market-goers. Each site has more than 300 stalls selling furniture, fabrics and other crafts. You will find treasures everywhere, but patience and a good bargaining skill will help you get the most out of it all.

Organic Farmers Souq

A group of organic farmers from the country sell their best locally grown produce for six months in the shadows the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. The Organic Farmers Souq on Bay Avenue is open every Friday and Saturday morning. It’s an excellent initiative to show off the country’s growing agricultural industry. On weekends, you can stock up on fragrant herbs, honey from the region, homemade jams and breads, and vibrant fruits and veggies that are sold by the farmers directly.
